Emily is a beauty school drop out and started a blog in 2003 while in a cubicle at one of her many boring office jobs. She was one of the original contributors to Oh My That’s Awesome and appeared on Hair Thursday as a guest expert on hair dye (read a post here). She’s had personal essays published on The Frisky.com and in the magazine, Fray. She lives in Boston with her boyfriend and their cat and dog. She does not need any more lipgloss.
Rachel has loved all things beauty since the impressionable age of 15 when her mother indulged her in a shopping spree at the Chanel makeup counter during a manic episode. This defining moment may very well be why Rachel is currently en route to becoming a clinical psychologist and has no impulse control when it comes to beauty products. Rachel’s writing has been published in Seattle Metropolitan Magazine, Seattlepicks.com and Luxury Life & Style Magazine. She is a proud Seattle native always struggling to keep her hair dry without an umbrella.
